Nathaniel Berry upright

Hello, I have a Berry upright which I can't bring myself to throw away and am looking to pass on free to a good home. I'm afraid I don't play and consequently know next to nothing about pianos. It is serial # 31423. Pictures can be found at

here.

If anyone could help me with a ball-park date or other information I can pass on to prospective new owners I would be most grateful. Additionally, if you are in the Edinburgh area and want to take it off my hands then please - be my guest! PM for info.

The number sugests that it was made in 1933, which seems about right, although you don't actually give a proper picture of the piano. Sadly, the Berry archives are stacked in a damp garage, and not available for reference.

Unfortunately due to the cramped nature of its storage at the time, I was reduced to taking a very wide shot from a funny angle in poor light. I will move things around a bit this evening and try to get a proper shot.

One final question if you don't mind: given my brief description, have you any idea what the likelihood would be of someone wanting to take this piano (barring of course the "luck element" of actually finding that person)?

Contact freecycle.org in your area and they will pass on details so that someone who wants it can pick it up from you.
