Price Please

I have the following piano which belonged to my Mother which I need to sell. Can anybody give me guidance on the price I should ask ?

Eavestaff Pianette Minipiano. Made by Waddington & Sons Newcastle. Serial 157765. The mechanics are mde by Hoffburger Brooks Ltd. London

Put it on ebay with a £1 start and take what ever it gets. They are grotty as pianos but i guess sell on their small cases. With a compromised action and string length they were a 2nd rate gimic when new and now they are tired and worn out 2nd rate gimics. Sorry im not being very up beat about it. Try selling it privatley .

What colour is the cabinet?

They're horrible pianos, but often worth money as excellent bits of Art Deco design. They need to be in the right colour though!

I always advise people to sell them as aniques/interior design features rather than instruments. People decorating an art deco home will fight for it! Unless it's the 'humpy' looking one made for Princess Ingrid of Somewhere Foreign; they're decent pianos in an odd case.

Good point, but the chrome lamps option also adds value to these peculiar little pianos. If it's walnut with chrome lamps and fittings I'd seek out a few Art Deco dealers.

rummaging in my store/museum, I find I have a pianette original stool with the slab ends in walnut,( no chrome trims), should you find a rich art-deco customer
