Yes, I know it sounds unlikely, but I've found a piano tutor prepared to risk her reputation by taking me on

My lessons start in 2 weeks' time from now and I'll be having a half-hour slot every week.

I've had my piano for just over two weeks now and am having a great time, but definitely need some guidance to give me the incentive to really turn into something half decent. If nothing else, I get to put my sticky paws on her lovely Steinway grand

Wow, your teacher has a Steinway grand!!!! That's amazing! My teacher has a Kawai grand and I love playing on it

Steinway grands ( that is well maintained steinway grands) are easy to play - much easier than any upright. Well, thats just my experience anyway!
