Cramer player piano

Post by brtyler »

I just bought a home and there is a Cramer London player piano in the entryway. Inside it has "Inventions Exhibiton 1885" and a number - 54603. I wanted to donate it to the Salvation Army but Husband wants to find out more about it. I don't know if the player works though there are numerous rolls in the seat. The keys need to be worked on though. Does anyone have any info on this piano? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The number suggests a date around 1917, but the published dates are not reliable. Obviously, it was made after the 1885 exhibition. No original archives are available for this maker.
