Challen factory

Post by Grand old D'Almaine »

Does anyone know the address of the Challen factory in the 1930's?
I have an address of "Archer Street, Camden Town, London, NW1" that was listed as the address of Chas H Challen & Son on one of their patent applications. However, looking at maps of England online (I am in Australia) I cannot seem to find an 'Archer Street' in this area, only one in Soho. Also, this may well be the address of the offices rather than the factory.
Main objective here, I think, is to eventually locate a picture of the factory that made my piano in the mid 1930's.
Any ideas anyone.....?

I thought they were made at Omega Works, Hermitage Road by then? I'll see what I can find. Certainly, there is no Archer Street in Camden now.

1897 George Rogers & Sons were at 40 Archer Street, King Street N.W. In 45 years, I have found relatively few shots of London piano factories.
