Any ideas on who produced a Windsor model 6 octave rOverdamper overstrung upright (serial number 42063) It was purchased in Southend, Essex in 1992 or there abouts.

The "Make or Topic" should be "Windsor" otherwise people won't be able to find it. Windsor is popular as an alias on pianos because of its royal connections, but the name was also used by Montgomery-Ward, Chicago, Illinois. Speaking as an ex-Benfleet man, Berrys were in Southend, (their sign may still be there) and they used "Windsor" as a model name, but those instruments also have the Berry name on them, and the Windsor model had 85 notes. There was also a firm called Dean & Windsor. Some "Windsor" pianos were supplied by Selfridges of London, made by anonymous wholesalers. Press www below, then read the Datemarks page.
