Do you prefer older or more modern pianos?

Post by TheBritishPianist »

Hi, I'm a new member!

I've just been thinking about this myself, after a friend bought it up. I personally prefer older pianos. Call me lazy, but I can't be bothered to type out why, as I've just done a great big article about it in my blog! Take a look if you like!

Mods: Please don't pass this off as me trying to get free advertising, as I'm genuinally trying to get an interesting discussion started!

Cheers, Mark

I've just been through this; finally decided to have my old Bluthner rebuilt rather than buy a new piano. And don't regret it!

Like I said in the blog, I just don't like most modern ones. They just don't have as good a sound or feel as as older ones, and I prefer ivory keys too.
