Advice Required on Young Chang U-121

Post by J DoubleU »

We're considering purchasing a piano for our daughter, who is playing at grade 3 standard at the moment.

We have had a Young Chang U-121, which is being privately sold, recommended to us by our piano tuner.

The piano is approx. 7 years old are there are no signs of any physical damage.

The piano was tuned every 6 months until 2 years ago and hasn't been tuned since, although it's tune is still reasonably good and it has a very good tone.

I've no real idea on the value of such a piano. Could anybody advise.

Are there any negatives we need to look out for?

If your tuner is recommending it then go for it, never tuned a U-121 myself but the brand is fine I have a few Young Changs in some of the schools I visit and they stand up to the bashing the kids give them

Barrie,

Thanks for the prompt response.

Do you have any idea of the value?

We are being offered it at &1000 including professional transport. The only other U-121 I have found on the web is going for &1695 (trade).
