Welmar

The number suggests 1941. Welmar is a respected make, but we cannot judge the condition or value from photos, ask your tuner.

Re: Welmar Baby Grand
The Welmar grands of this era were good instruments heavily influenced by the gorgeous but fragile Blüthner 4'11" grand built in Leipzig. If you're lucky, yours may have the 'Disclaimer Plate' fixed inside declaring that the two 'should not be confused' !Henderson wrote:Hello, I was after some information on a Welmar Baby Grand that I have been given (I know less than nothing about Pianos!). The (serial/registration) number is 24137. What sort of date is this piano? Is it any good/sought after?
As Bill says, condition is all. Get a local tuner to inspect it.
