Rebuilt Concert Grand
Just a quick note, following on from the discussion about Polish rebuilds earlier.
I have just taken delivery of my newly rebuilt Bluthner concert grand, from Hurstwood Farm in Kent.
The piano, originally dating from around 1920, was sent to Poland to be restrung/refinished etc and they did a sterling job of it. Regulating, tuning and finishing off was done by Hurstwood in the UK.
The finished product is supurb, and all for less than the cost of a heavily discounted Yamaha of much less "grand" proportions.
I really cannot recomment Mr Dain of Hurstwood highly enough; he has been helpful, courteous and a pleasure to deal with at every step of the way.
