silent system Wendl&Young VS Yamaha
I'll buy a silent piano soon, and I am hesitating between a P114 and a Wendl and Young 122.
What do you think of the "new" silent system from W&L, is it worse or better than the yamaha one ?
Here (in Switzerland), the WL 122 is a little cheaper (10 %) than the P114, do you think the WL122 is better than the P114 ?

I don't have a definitive list, but several of the smaller brands, inc Kemble, actually use a Yamaha silent system in their pianos, although this may not necessarily be the latest incarnation. Differences can include the type of sensing (continuous v. 2-4 point), which can affect accuracy and the samples (the type of piano sampled and the number of samples, determined to some extent by the amount of wave memory available), which affects the quality of the electronic piano sound. Current Yamaha uprights have 68MB of wave memory for the piano voice and use continuous sensing for the keys and the sustain pedal.
I would check out the both options and pick whichever one you are happiest with.

you were right. I tested the silent system yesterday and it is indeed not continuous. The recorded piano sound is also not so good. So the Yamaha system is much better.
Speaking only for the acoustic, the 122 model is for me above the P114 (which is more expensive)
I tested also the grand piano 161 and 178. The 161 cost only 13500 CHF here (8380 Euro / 6660 £)
