1903 Ibach Piano

Post by phiber_optik »

Hi All,

We have currently taken delivery of a 1903 Rudi Ibach Sohn Upright piano, it is in very good condition with 2 solid brass pedals, no rust but has a couple of chipped ivory keys (or what we think is ivory).

Can anyone provide any further details about the history of such a piano and possible what it could be worth?

Many thanks,

Nobody anywhere can provide the history of every individual piano: Given that you already know the year, what kind of information are yuou looking for?

As I mention we have just recieved this piano and unsure weather it is of value or not. It is in very good condition and full working order with only a couple of keys being chipped.

Is this piano made by a reputable manufacturer?
Do they sell well or hold there value?
A rough estimate of what a piano like this is worth?

I think we are just curious for any details anyone can provide, we know when it was made and that it seems solid, but cant seem to find a whole lot else.

Any help would be great.

Many Thanks,

Rud. Ibach Sohn is a famous make, but it is impossible to generalise without being there, everything depends on the state of it now. Ask your tuner.
