Megman Piano Co.
Hello, I'm taking a piano off of someone's hands, but cannot find a single reference to the name stamped on the inside of the piano. There is no name on the outside of the piano, and when I lift the front panel, it is stamped with "Megman Piano Co.", and the years 1888 (patented) and 1902. It is an upright, with rounded edges. It's driving me crazy that I cannot find anything about it online!!!! Thanks for any help....Julie

Wegman piano?

The vast majority of piano names are not listed on the net, and many are fictitious. We have nothing on computer about that name, and without more to go on, it would mean searching manually through over a million entries. If you can email me some photos I may be able to tell you more.

Thank you Bill, I just perused your website and feel a bit embarrassed by my query. Our piano is being delivered today, and I will use the info from your website to look for clues as to it's origin. I wanted to thank you for taking the time (and having the patience) to respond to my question. Julie

No need to feel embarrassed at all, piano history is what I do, but piano names often mean so little.
