Knight Upright piano

Post by pauldowning »

Approximately 16 years ago I purchased a new Knight upright piano from ABC Music in Esher.
The number on the wood is 72871. There is a registered design number 812773 and the number stamped on the metal frame is £(this is difficult to read)T5(or it may be B)876543. This is also the letters MJA stamped on the metal frame. On a bar acroos the strings is "Langer 80" and the name Herrburger Brooks PLC.

If anyone can tell me the name of manufacture I would be delighted.
I would also love to now the model and would be happy to send a photograph.

Many thanks[/img]

72871 would be c1996 but since you got it in 1992 that is not the number unless they are out which is not new
in 1990 Knight were acquired by Bentley. in 1993 Knight were acquired by Welmars

Knight Piano

Thank you for this.

1996 is almost certainly the correct date. My wife tells me that I almost certainly got my original suggested date wrong!

Could you please let me have an email address to which I may send a photograph of the piano with the top removed.

I was unable to find a way of attaching a photgraph to this note.

Many thanks and regards

Placing photos into your message on the forum

As we don’t allow direct uploading of photos, you will need some web space to point the forum to. The simplest way it to go to Image Shack http://www.imageshack.us/ and upload your photo there, it is free.

Just click on the Browse Button, find the image on your computer, then click on “Host it “, it will upload it for you. It will then take you to a page which will give you the code to paste into your message on the forum. The best one to use is clickable thumbnail.
