Steck Gotha Grand Piano

Post by karen3268 »

Hi hope someone can help me. We have been left a grand Steck Gotha piano that used to be a Pianola. The number 48107 can be seen on the frame. All we know is that it used to be in the Raven Hotel in Shrewsbury in the 1950s and the pianola has been taken out. It is 72 inch long 60inch wide 40inch high. Keyboard 48inch 52 white keys 8 octaves. We want to sell due to nowhere to have it. Any ideas of age or what price range to sell for or even where to sell it. Any help would be great.

It's not 8 octaves! The problems with dates of Steck numbers are mentioned on my Numbers page at www.PianoGen.org

There is no magic solution to selling pianos, the internet is wonderful for some things, but with something so big and heavy, it is a long shot unless you find a local buyer. I have seen pianos sit on the net for years and not have a single enqury.
