Waldberg

Post by Leanne »

Hi All,

I just recently bought a Waldberg piano, but I cant seem to find any information about the make on the internet. I wondered if some one could give me a little bit more information about the name.

It looks very 1930's Art Deco - it could be out of an episode of 'Poirot' it's that pretty. I think it is made out of walnut as it is quite a light coloured wood. (Can't be sure though - I am not an expert!!).

I would really appreciate any information that anyone has about the make. I would love to learn more about it.

Cheers,

Leanne.

The only Waldberg pianos I've come across were made by Danemann, London around the 1914 war. These are usually dated on the iron frame below keyboard level. Have a look at the Datemarks page at www.PianoGen.org
