How interesting, I've been trying to find a "Saul Salkind, Norwich & Cromer" for someone - I wonder which one is right? You're not far away from Lowestoft, give me a ring. Eavestaff numbers are not easy, The published dates of serial numbers for Eavestaff pianos don’t even begin until 1950, the earlier ones being lost in a fire, but by collecting a few estimated dates of their earlier pianos, I can offer some guide to the period between, plus the mini numbers. Some Eavestaff pianos have actions made by Schwander, and these have their own numbers which can also be dated. I would be grateful for any further information which can tie together Eavestaff and Schwander numbers. 20110 might be around 1909, but press www and see "Numbers" on my website.

I probably have more lists of Norwich piano firms than anyone else, but the only reference I have found so far is 1928 - it's definitely Salkind. The BPM number is after 1900...
