It's difficult to work anything out when I have no pictures of the WHOLE piano, and no interior details. Can you email me some more? I probably have more information on the Collard firm than any othr firm, and perhaps more than anyone else. Are there any other numbers inside the top? 523 is a model number, we need a much longer one. Gillow was in partnership with Waring from 1897, so this piano seems earlier. To quote my own Home page, it's fair to say that although I am fascinated by Victorian pianos, they rarely fetch as much as 90 pounds at local auctions here in the UK, unless they have been professionally restored, indeed many fetch less than 20 pounds.

It's better for us if you email them, they take up too much space on this forum, and slow the page down for some readers' machines. See the note near the top of the forum page.
