Emile Auberon Piano
Hello,
I wonder if anyone could tell us anything about our piano.
It's a smallish upright, with the name "Emile Auberon" written on the front.
The action has a label saying "Herrburger Brooks Ltd, London"
Under the lid is the number 24123
Above the higher strings is the number 18283
It was bought in Devon by my wife's grandfather for her mother, and now it has come to us.
we'd be really interested in anything anyone could tell us about it
thanks
Matt

Emile Auberon seems to have been a german-sounding alias used on pianos made by (or sold by) Wheatleands, London. Emile Auberon upright #32,300 from Wheatlands was made around 1910. The Herrburgher Brooks action puts it after 1919, and I could tell you more if you email some photos...

Thanks for the photos, but they don'y tell me anything much. Numbers are no use because we don't know who the real maker was. The action could be 1920s or 1950s. Press www below.
