I am the owner of the above an for various reasons I need to dispose of it. The piano is not in the greatest condition and I am looking for advice as to how to proceed in contacting someone who would be prepared to view/value/purchase it. Many thanks. The first step in assessing the value of an old piano is testing every one of the tuning pins, and this will put the piano out of tune, so it will need to be tuned. If it is untuneable, it is worthless.

Thanks for the reply but as I have no idea how to check pins I need professional help, hence the reason for my post.

I'm sorry if it wasn't clear, the tuner tests the pins, then having put it out of tune, will need to tune it.

No problem. So I guess what you're saying is that I need to get a professional piano tuner in to look at the instrument before going any further.
