Boyd Ltd of London Harmonium
I have recently acquired a harmonium made by Boyd Ltd. I bought the piece for $300 USD and was told by the seller that it was his grandmothers and that it was built in 1912. It is of the free standing variety (not an indian harmonium) with two bellows and equal pedals. I cannot seem to find any information on this instrument and would be very appreciative if anyone on this site could point me in the right direction. Thank you all for your knowlegde and know-how. _eric

It sounds a lot of money for what seems an ordinary harmonium, and not even technically an antique. I can only tell you that it is unlikely Boyds made it, they probably just put their name on it, so you might want to have a look inside in case there are other clues. This is, after all, a piano forum, and there are plenty of people out there who know more about organs.
