Hi everyone! I was just wondering if anyone had any information on my piano! The only writing on it says J.H. Schwark Hamburg. It's an old upright that's been in my family for 100 + years! I would welcome any information! Any history, age, makers, etc etc. it's so old and it's in good condition just trying to find some info! Thanks!!

The only reference I know of is in the Pierce Piano Atlas, and it says no more than is written on the front of the piano!

If you know how to remove the action safely (the working parts of the notes) it may be marked with the action maker's name and number, and we may be able to date this. The PIANO NAMES link at www.PianoGen.org may also provide some answers, and have a look at the Datemarks page.
