I have a 9 year old Woodchester Elmore which was brought new for about 3000 pounds. Unfortunately, it's so rarely played these days that I'm having to let it go. The action, case and strings are all in excellent condition.
Does anyone have an idea how much this would be worth, and what the best way to sell it is? It's curently located in the Midlands.

£1500 is about what a dealer would get for it retail.
You're more likely to get between £800 and £1000.
eBay's a good a way of selling it as any, but put a reserve on it. New these pianos were vastly overpriced, being not much more than reworked base-model Petrofs with strengthened and more attractive casework. Certainly they were more pleasant than the piano they were based on, but at the time about £500 more expensive. These days however, the Petrof is still in production and costs more than the Elmore did. It may be worth contacting your nearest Petrof dealer and finding out the current new price of the cheapest model so you can point this out in your eBay description.
As a matter of interest, does it actually work properly? Most of the Petrofs of this model that I've known needed the Detoa action recentred before sale. Of course most dealers didn't bother with this work and many got done under warranty or were just cobbled up by the tuner applying lubricant with every visit! I expect the poor old Elmore was similarly afflicted!
