Grotian vs Yamaha

So what is your opinion of a Grotian-Steinweg (modern) grand as opposed to a Yamaha of the same size? I am thinking particularly of the Yamaha C3 and C7 and comparable Grotian?

I don't recall ever playing a G-S, does it have the dreaded "European" (read mush) sound, or more akin to Steinway?

The one I tuned had a nice crisp, bright sound without the hard brittleness of some S&S's. But a lot depends on how it's prepared and toned.
