Hillier Piano Company of London

Post by tc6952 »

Hello

I recently moved back to the US from London. While living there, we bought a battered upright with the name Hillier Piano Company London, and a notation above the keys "Registered Iron Frame, Trichord, Check Action".

It has some beautiful mahogany veneers, but needs some restoration. I was just wondering if anyone has heard of this, since if it is your basic run of the mill piano fallen into disrepair I would probably do the restoration myself.

I appreciate any help anyone can give.

Regards

If you ask on the History page, Bill will probably have some information.

Thanks, appreciate the assistance.

Also, when we were living over there, I always thought that the Smart Car came with a free coupon at the local undertaker, is that true??

Well, I watched Jeremy Clarkson drive a smart into a concrete wall at 70mph before I bought one, to make sure they were safe! No good as a coffin, unless you're buried sitting down. Or you're very short...
