Post by spicer piano girl »

hiya all!!
Ive always wanted to own a piano and learn and now at 34yrs i finally inherited a piano! a rather old one that hasnt had much love, a Spicer of london? Keys arereally yellow as last people were smokers!! :(
Tuner cums tomorrow as it isnt in tune and hasnt been played for years.
Any advice on beginners books and learning to read music please would be most appreciated?

Lessons are best, but lots of good teach yourself books are on the market now. The best one I know of for adults is The Complete Piano Player by Kenneth Baker, but go into your local music shop and take their advice. Or for freebies, go to your local library and ask them to get books in for you. Good luck!
