Kemble ....not tuned for 6 years?

I am interested in buying a Kemble Classic piano and it has not tuned for 6 years. The piano is just 14 years old and it looks as new. The owner seldom used it in these few years.

What will be the problems if not tune for 6 years?

The main problem is that it will take a few tuning to settle the piano back to pitch this of course depends on how far the piano has dropped in pitch

I have been out to Kembles that has not been tuned for 10 years for new - they were under the impression that you only have to tune a piano if you move it. It was howling 1/4 tone flat in the middle running to a semi in the treble

Yes should be no problem

Give it 2 weeks make sure that the tuner is aware that it has not been tuned for a long time

He/she may recommend tuning it again after 4 weeks but they may say 6 months its a judgement call

but it will need a few tuning to settle it down
