Barratt and Robinson date

Post by worths »

I'm hoping to sell my barratt and robinson piano but have no idea how old it is except that it contains a transfer of a medal from the 1910 Manchester Industrial Exhibition. There are two numbers on the piano

592S5 and T6141272

will one of these give me a clue to it's age, if so can anyone help ?

Serial numbers rarely have letters in them, and the other number suggests 1902, but all we can say is that it must have been made after the 1910 exhibition. Have a look at the links at www.pianogen.org for Medals and Datemarks.
