Erard Upright Piano
Hi, I have recently purchased an upright piano. On the keyboard cover it has the name as London Erard Patent. It also has Patent 17781 London on the inside of the main body.Is it possible to find out the date of manafacture ? The piano is a walnut upright in fair condition. Many thanks tochni.

This seems too high to be an Erard London serial number, have a look for other numbers, and read the Numbers link at www.pianogen.org
The year should be marked on the left end of the action.
