Bohemia 132 Concerto
I've come across a Bohemia 132 Concerto and I like the tone and feel of the instrument. I'm totally unfamiliar with the brand, although I understand they're now owned by Bechstein. (Whether that means anything for the instruments themselves I'm not sure.)
Does anyone have any pointers on whether it's likely to be a sensible buy or not? The only previous comment I could find on Bohemias was rather negative. Can anyone give me more feedback and information before I make a decision one way or the other?
Thanks!

Bohemia are currently reasonably OK, but Bechstein ownership only occurred last month, so it's unlikely that any stock thus far manufactured will have benefited from their input. Previously they had a non-controlling stake in the company. This adds to Bechstein's already bewildering portfolio of competing pianos: Bechstein, Hoffmann, Euterpe, Zimmermann, Steinmann, and now Bohemia. Samick is no longer part of the Bechstein Group. Let's hope that a certain amount of rationalisation of competing models occurs before it becomes confused like our own British Piano Manufacturing Company did.
Quality has been rising steadily since the foul items (previously badged Rieger Kloss) that emerged from the Jihlava factory in the late 1990s. My advice would be to wait for a bit and see what improvements occur in build quality, then pounce (if things are seen to become really good) before the inevitable price rise.
At last a German company has finally decided to do a "Skoda" and bring a Czech factory into the 21st Century. Someone do it to Petrof now please.

PS: "Seabagg".... Sounds familiar. You're not the poor feller who had a tank of maturing urine leak on him in the Spike Milligan story are you?
