Rud. Ibach Sohn

Post by shane »

Hello, and many thanks for allowing me to join your site. I wondered if you could help me learn more about the history of my Rud. Ibach Sohn Upright Piano. It is in a Walnut case. There is a number printed inside it which is 15330 and if you lift the lid it has a Medal of some sort which is circular with a star inside it then having R I S trade Mark in the centre. The rest of the words are in German i think (Not sure if any of this is relevant. It was left to me about 20 odd years ago by a friend. Would really be interested to find out more about it, date, where they were manufactured etc. Here's hoping someone may be able to help me or point me in the right direction! Many Thanks
Shane

It's probably the Ibach logo, which (like various other makes) was made to look like a medal. I have some catalogues and other details on Ibachs, but I don't publish them on the net, email me.
