Ferd. Manthey piano

Post by HansRM »

Hi I have a Ferd. Manthey upright piano. By browsing the net i found that it was made in germany, Berlin to be exact. However I would like to know how old it is. I hope you can help me. Thanks in advance.

The serial number is 2974. It also have a little sign on the inside saying: "With Ferd. Manthey Bifornix sounding b", and then the rest is covered by the metal frame. I hope that enough information.

The number suggests 1899, but have a look at the Numbers and Datemarks links at pianogen.org
