Help Offenberg!!!!
Hi
I bought a brand new piano 3 years ago for just short of 3000.
Its only now that i'm looking at selling due to moving abroad that i now know that offenberg is a name branded by the man i bought the piano from.
He not won't tell me who manufactured the piano, and although it is a stunning looking piano and has a fantastic sound and playing action, i am finding it a job to sell as there's not much i can tell people about the piano.
What would you suggest?

Thank you!
It's a Chinese piano, not sure of the factory, but I'd bet a dollar to a hard boiled egg that it's identical to the (Beijing-built, LS Design) Steinmeyer offerings from Piano Warehouse. They're not bad pianos at all, but not surprised your dealer's cagey about where they're from, since they're widely advertised on the net.
Assuming I'm right, it'd be worth more with the correct badge!

Thank you very much for that, In your opinion what would you think it would be worth and that I could sensibly ask for it?
DO you think it's likely to cause many problems with it not having a badge??
I guess i've been stung with the price then if they are fairly widely available on the internet??

Re: thankyou
I really don't know, but yeah, the lack of a recognised brand won't help. I reckon you'll be looking at around 1 to 1.3K for it....saxylou wrote:Thank you very much for that, In your opinion what would you think it would be worth and that I could sensibly ask for it?

It's the monthly rental figure that could scupper you. Not sure why your dealer should choose to conceal the identity, because it won't help you nor him really.saxylou wrote:I guess i've been stung with the price then if they are fairly widely available on the internet??
