Schubach Square 1860-1880 piano

Post by fresheyes »

Needing assistance please! My parents left me with a Rosewood square piano made by on the front says "Schubach", Serial #60596 carved on the inside. Hand carved legs and petals, ivory keys and circa approx.1860-1880, in what I would say to be excellent condition. Need to know where I can obtain approx value of this piano and how to go about selling it. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

See the valuation link at pianogen.org

By square piano, I presume you mean it resembles a rectangular table with the keyboard set into the longer side?

The Numbers page at pianogen.org includes the following entry...
1936 Schubach #7700
This is a definite date, maker unknown.
