H.Steinbach
My local church wants to sell it piano as it's moving into a smaller building. It's a H.Steinbach upright piano serial 6224. It's a beautiful piano and wanted to know if you knew it's age and or value. It's in near perfect condition, with fantastic mother of pearl inlay and two candle stick things coming off two small panelss either side of a main panel with entwined leaves, and it sounds pretty fantastic too! Thanks

There were a number of firms called Steinbach, but no dates of serial numbers are available. Like may other firms, H. Steinbach seems to have finished around the 1914 war, but the Steinbach name is used on later pianos made by other firms. See the Reports and Names links at pianogen.org
