Post by Santos »

Hi,
I just bought a Steck. 51374 seems to be its serial number. Any idea of it's age? I would like to restaure it once ijust payed 60 pounds for it and I think is a good upright piano. Does anybody can suggest me a person to do this job.
thanks

Unfortunately, Steck is one of many piano makes whose published numbers are wrong or misleading. See the reference to Steck at

Your best bet is to look for a datemark under the keys of the bottom notes.

I don't know any restorers in London personally, perhaps someone else will answer that.
