Can I move a Piano myself ?
Hi , I want to buy a used piano. Chances are that I will not get it locally and may have to go 150 mils away or so for it.
Can I hire a van and move it with some of my friends help ?
Would the piano be okay provided we were careful etc.
I thought doing it this way would safe cash that could be spent on the piano?
I have no idea how much a professional mover would charge for this distance assuming ground to ground .
Any help very much appreciated
yours sincerely
Alastair

What you save on removals might have to go on the osteopath...As long as you're careful and always lift using your legs not your back, you might be all right. But on the whole I'd play safe and let the experts do it...or even a local man with a van or a removals firm might shift it as a part load.
