Vose & Sons

We have acquired a Vose & Sons upright piano (given to our son who has no room for it in his apartment). The serial number is 79463 and a metal plate on the interior wood states, "Vose and Sons Desk, Patented June 18, 1895". Embossed in large letters on the interior wood are the words, "Boston established 1851." Additionally, an emblem reads, "World Columbian Expedition. In commemoration of the 400th anniversary of the landing of Columbus." And another emblem displays "Christopher Columbus Oct. XII MDCCCXCII". Can you help us? And we'll take a wild guess on it's value. Thanks

It's not an expedition, it's the Columbian Exposition. See my notes near the bottom of the page at
