ugly piano!

Post by tuna »

On a lighter note!

Surely this must be a contender for ugliest upright ever made! (ebay, item number 280012318674)

What were Danemann thinking of?!

Bad acid trip perhaps........

Agreed, but they sound great, those old Danemanns!

The Danemann grand which was contemporary with that model looked really "G-Plan" with slender turned legs like a '60s coffee table. At least they tried to make the range look up to date!

For a realy brave attempt, try and find a Lindner grand. They stood on a central pillar, a bit like those plastic stands that Airfix planes were supposed to be displayed on. Trouble is, unlike the Danemann, they were crap.

Seems like the buyer got Ł64 for it, which must be viewed as a 'result', I think! And its made of wood too, which must be a bonus.....

Result?
A total bargain! Ignore the styling and he's got a decent piano there for less than the price of a meal in a half good restaurant.

Subaru Imprezas are good cars, but to me they still look like shite. Beauty is in the eye, etc.

Not as hideous as that foul Bechstein you posted and it probably sounds better too.

In total agreement with PG....that Bechstein is 'orrible....totally tasteless...a piano is a musical instrument....not a blank canvas for up market grafitti.
How could you ever concentrate on playing with all those distractions.

The mind is wonderful, the way it can blank out terrible experiences...
