John Spencer

Believe it of not someone dumped a piano in our road and we have just hauled it in - and it doesn't sound too bad. I know very little about pianos but it is a John Spencer with a serial number 47912 in it. Can anyone tell me anything about this?

The number suggests it was made in 1906, there are hundreds of these around in the UK, many still doing a useful job.
