Williams Piano

Post by Shubbykins »

Hi,

I just bought a used Williams Piano. It's marked "Made By Williams Piano Co." and then it says something that could be Oshawa or Ottawa (I'm assuming Oshawa, since I read that there was a factory there). The number on it is 62841.

It has a very lovely tone, I'm quite enjoying it, but I'd love to know how old it is.

Thanks.

The number suggests 1926.

Thanks! I had no idea it was that old. Are Williams pianos known for their longevity? Or is this not old for a piano?

We don't see them over her, but it's not especially old for a piano, I mainly deal with enquiries about victorian ones.

Hm, I didn't realize that pianos aged that well...All of the ones I've been in contact with have been relatively new, I suppose.

Thank you very much for all of your help.
