Both firms seem to have arrived on the scene in the 1890s, Lawson remained at King Street until the thirties. Philips, Cambridge & Co. seem to have made the piano in London for Lawson, so it is surprising that very little information appears in my London lists, although there were several firms called Philips or Phillips.
