2-5-1
Questions on learning to play the piano, and piano music.

Hi,
Probably some better jazzer than me will give a better answer, but here goes...
I assume you are talking about a resolution to a root or other chord, using a chord sequence. The 251 resoloution is quite simple (too simple!) and is achieved in any key by playing:
a minor seventh one tone above the chord you're resolving to
a major seventh four tones above the chord
the chord itself.
Thus you get the 2-5-1 resolution. The actual voicing and embellishment of the chord can differ from the above according to your taste. Personally the much-trumpeted 2-5-1 resolution is one of the most boring chord sequences I've ever heard (unless disguised out of recognition). but so be it.
An hour or so with pen and paper, and your trusty scale book, will give you the 251 sequences in all keys.
Rgds.
