Chappell 1920-30 upright models
I have two, one from 1920, the other from 1930.
I saw an advert or a Chappell diamond, saying it was the best upright going.

so I wondered what it was and what made it different from std upright X strung under damped ones as I have.
Surely the design is pretty similar, maybe components are a little different, so what else is?

Advertising I suppose! Your link didn't show me the ad. I have no information about their Diamond model, but most were technically similar, just dressed up in different clothes.
