Thanks Barrie for useful info.
I believe the answer is 4 - that my old piano had too light a touch making me lazy! Overall tone is good and touch is even. Shop will tune in a month for me.

New Upright
Is the touch of a brand new upright likely to loosen off over time or do you just get used to the difference? My old piano took no effort to respond.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Eavestaff 109
Still debating about this. Like the sound of the piano but will it last or is it just as likely to last as a more expensive new piano? I can see that I could get a Yamaha 109 for several hundred pounds more. I have an old family piano which I am not awful happy with the sound of - but it is so solid.

I am thinking of buying a 5 year old Eavestaff 109 - does anyone have any experience of these? I would appreciate any advice or comments.

King Piano
I have an upright piano with the name 'King London' on it. It has a Herrburger, Brooks, Ltd. London action Serial No. 51332
Base of Piano 'British Made' - 910
It is around 35 years old. Do you have any information on this make? I can find nothing on King pianos. Thanks.
