amplifier for Yamaha DGX 630
I have a Yahama DBX 630 keyboard. It is not loud enough for use in church. Can anyone recommend the best amplifier to buy. I have considered Behringer Ultratone K900FX and Roland KC60 but am put off from the latter by some customer reviews on the web. Has anyone any experience or advice about this?

Yamaha DGX 630 accessories
I have just bought a Yamaha DGX 630 keyboard and I am very pleased with it. But it is for use in church and concerts as well as home. I think it needs amplification. Can anyone suggest a suitable amplifier and how to connect amplifier to keyboard. Also does anyone know who makes a suitable carrier b...

Thanks for your comments: I get the message that the problem with Bostons is that they are based on a Steinway design [not sure why this is a bad thing rather than a good] and that they use out of date Kawai technology - and that the Kawai technology has improved with the most recent series. [though...

Thank you for those replies. There is a trade off required here: with a budget of say 15K pounds I could have either a small, new grand, or a big (7 ft) second hand grand. Anything ten years or more old will be based on out of date technology. Is the added value of a big powerful Ferrari worth the d...

Boston GP218
My local Steinway dealer in Wales has what seems a very nice Boston GP218, ten years old in excellent condition, which he will service. It has been used by a professional who has given up. He says the size is equivalent to a Steinway Model C (current new price 68K)What do you experts think of the GP...

He says it is NOT a Steinmayer. It is better than them. Agreed it is a made up name. I don't know which factory (or even which country). What is going on here? How comes a piano can arrive without a brand, and the dealer give it a made up name. Could it be a great bargain? After all, you are not pay...

Offenberg
My local dealer is offering a 5ft 2in piano at ?5250. It is unlabelled but is an 'Offenberg'. This make does not feature on the web or in Larry Fine's 'Piano Book'. It sounds and looks excellent. I note Fine's comments in the latest supplement (p 10) that luxury goods are sold largely on image...app...

Steinway as an investment
I have just been looking at the Steinway website and their claims (under the heading 'A Sound investment') that only a Steinway is a good investment. To support this claim they quote evidence, e.g. from Forbes, dating back to the 1980s. Surely this is a poor show from such a prestigious firm. What i...

Thanks for your input. Wasn't sure whether I was on the UK forum or the USA one. I am new to these forums and they don't seem as easy to use as the cricket ones I use a lot. The piano is said to have a walnut finish and real ivory keys; It was not played for 50 years so maybe despite the age still h...

1896 Steinway Model O - how to value?
What do members think about vintage Steinways? This one dates from 1896 according to the Piano Book by Larry Fine. It was not played from 1950 to 2001 and since then has been used for piano lessons and is said to be in good condition. The price list in the 2001 Piano book is in dollars and now out o...
