Thank you so much, - didn't think of putting the serial in google.
This explains why the seller has not got back to my last email asking to view the piano with my tuner!
I thought it was too good to be true at that price, there are some crooks out there!!
Thank you

Refinishing the piano cabinet
I have a knight K10 about 1962-3 in teak. I am looking to find out how to restore the piano finish. Overall the piano is dull and lacks luster, there are one or two small white paint marks and a few little scratches. The top is the worst affected area and has two chips out of the wood near the far e...

Knight
Could you tell me how much a knight piano of this date is worth. The knight piano I am looking at is in perfect working order and has been regularly tuned every six months. The only problem is that the cabinet finish has seen some ware and there is a chip in the top lid.
Many thanks

Cleaning / restoring Black Lacquer
To claen and polish black lacquer I have read somewhere that an oily soap should be used and then wiped off and polished using elbow-grease!!!
I have tried that but it dosen't hide surface scratches, Can anyone else shed any light on the issue.
Many Thanks

I have a black lacquer piano that has really seen some ware over the years and looks dull, and in a few places the bare wood is visible. I know to get the best finish, re-lacquering would be best. Howere I do not want to spend a fortune doing it up, I would just like to give it a polish, ie restore ...
