HP2 or HP7
The key action on the HP2 isn't as nice as the HP7, or indeed the HP3, which is in between on price and features. The HP7 has a few extras over the HP3, but not enough to justify the extra &500 cost, IMO. I'd say that the better action and bigger speakers on the HP3 make it worth the extra cost ...

What you say is certainly true of cheap digital pianos, but the better ones (Roland HP, Yamaha Clavinova) alter the tone depending on how the key is struck, and will also (for instance) incorporate sympathetic tones from the open strings if you have the sustain pedal down.
