Rogers usually stamped their serial numbers into the top treble end of the soundboard - no guarantees though! Your piano appears to be a model from around 1920, so serial number should be around 30000....

Probably built sometime around the first world war. It would have been modernised during the late 50s - 60's. Modernising the casework of the piano involved removing any original character the piano would have had, and making it look as plain as was humanly possible!

Hi - The "Harrods Special" doesn't really look any different from any other British upright of that era, the main difference was inside...... The main visible discerning features were the Renner action and celeste rail. I think the scaling was also redesigned too and they do tune and sound...
