Hi Olayie, Not that I suddenly became an expert (shortly after buying my first piano) but as somebody who tried a lot of instruments (including Gehr. Steinberg - very nice) I advise you not to buy anything before trying a Wendl & Lung. It is possible you're not going to like it but at least you'...

Thank you everybody for your input, it was more than heplful. I just had my new Wendl & Lung delivered yesterday and it sounds, feels and looks every bit as expected. I look forward to see how it settles in the house. I must say I think I found one excellent dealer in the person of Mr Mildren of...

Wendl & Lung or Samick?

Hi everybody, Your input will be very appreciated on the dilemma above. A bit of background: I am prepared to spend around Ł2000 on an upright. After checking about 20 or 30 models(new and used) and letting myself influenced by discussions on this forum I shortlisted a Wendl & Lung and a Samick ...

Thanks a lot for the phone numbers, I am going to try them. The price seemed a bit unusual to me too, so I called them back and they apologised, they mixed things up and gave me the price of the grand (!), anyway: Ł2250 and the model was 120 cm high. With the usual 5 years warranty and first tuning ...

Thanks PianoGuy. Incidentally I just found a dealer who has a few Gehrhardt(?) Steinbergs, Arthur Lord in Chobham, Surrey. Very nice and helpful people. Actually they only have 2 of them, an 108 - 110 console (not sure), not worse than a C110 I'd say (I'm not very knowledgeable), a bit more expensiv...

For best value go for a Yamaha C110 or a nearly as good Kawai KX10. For cheap, anything from the Yantai Perzina factory. A s/h U1 in that price bracket will de a dog. PG Hello, Perzina cheaper than Yamaha C110? That would be a very interesting thing to see indeed. Do you have any idea who stocks th...
